Dr. Sorajak Kasemsuvan​

Dr. Sorajak Kasemsuvan holds several esteemed positions, showcasing his extensive involvement in various organizations. Currently, he serves as a Member of the Board of Trustees for the Friends in Needs (of “PA”) Volunteers Foundation, Thai Red Cross, a Member of the Asian Peace and Reconciliation Council (APRC), Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors at Rajamangkala University of Technology, Isan, Chairman of the Board of Directors at Tune Protect Insurance (Public) Company, Limited, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the Asian Elephants Foundation Thailand.

Dr. Sorajak has a solid educational background, earning a Ph.D. in International Law from the London School of Economics and Political Science in the UK. He also holds a Master of Laws degree from University College London (UCL), UK, and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University College of Wales, Aberystwyth, UK.

In his notable past positions, he has served as the President of Thai Airways International Public Company Limited, Chairman of the Board of Directors for MCOT Public Company Limited, and as the Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Thailand.

Seishi Ninomiya​

"Where is our food going?"

Dr. Seishi Ninomiya is a Professor Emeritus at the University of Tokyo, where he studied plant breeding, plant physiology, applied statistics, and computer science. He is one of APAN Agriculture Working Group founders. After serving as an assistant professor at the University of Tokyo, a laboratory head at the National Institute of Agro-Environmental Science, and a research director at the National Agriculture and Food Research Organization (NARO) Japan, he returned to the University of Tokyo as a professor. He has long been a leader in interdisciplinary research between computer science and agricultural science, including plant phenomics. He has been involved in many major national research projects as well as many international collaborative research projects. In recognition of his achievements, he was awarded the Japan Agronomy Prize, the highest award for agricultural research in Japan. He is currently Editor-in-Chief of Plant Phenomics, a professor at Nanjing Agricultural University, President of CIGR (International Commission of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering), and a member of the Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Technology Council under the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Japan.

As the Vice President of Huawei Enterprise Thailand, Mr. Sheldon is responsible for marketing and solution sales in Thailand market.

Mr. Sheldon has over 15 years working experience in product management and consulting service, covering multiple industries including Digital Government, International Tax Administration, IOT, Security and Biometrics etc. Having lived and worked in Africa, Middle East and aboard for more than 10 years, he has developed practical management skills that he has applied in multiple business and industry environments.

Mr. Sheldon graduated from Beihang University with Bachelor Degree of Software Engineering and also Master’s Degree in Finance from Tsinghua University and Master of Business Administration from Cornell University.

Philippe leads Nokia’s Emerging Segments in the APAC region for Nokia Network Infrastructure. His current focus is on guiding enterprises in adapting and securing their networking infrastructure to harness the advantages offered by Intelligent Automation, Cloud, and Security advancements. At the forefront of shaping the vision, strategy, and implementation of new technology rollouts in APAC, Philippe contributes a wealth of 25 years of expertise. Over the course of his career, he has empowered enterprises, web-scalers, and service providers to embrace transformative changes and modernize their operations by leveraging cutting-edge technologies. His hands-on experience collaborating with early adopters and large enterprises has given him a unique insight into the trends and dependencies crucial for successful digital transformations. Originally from Belgium, Philippe is based in Seoul, South Korea.

James E. Deaton is the vice president of Network Services. James leads the strategic direction and ongoing operations of Internet2’s world-class network infrastructure and advanced services in support of research, education, and global collaboration.

 

James is a seasoned leader in the research and education community with nearly 30 years of experience driving strategic cyberinfrastructure initiatives across state, regional, and national networks.

Shinji Shimojo​

Presentation Topic:

"Challenge toward NEO (Digital)-Feudalism for global climate change"

Shinji Shimojo received the M.E. and Ph.D. degrees from Osaka University in 1983 and 1986, respectively. He was an Assistant Professor with the Department of Information and Computer Sciences, Faculty of Engineering Science at Osaka University from 1986, and an Associate Professor with Computation Center from 1991 to 1998. During this period, he also worked for a year as a Visiting Researcher at the University of California, Irvine. He has been a Professor with the Cybermedia Center (then the Computation Center) at Osaka University since 1998, and from 2005 to 2008 had been the director of the Center. He was an executive researcher and a director of Network Testbed Research and Development Promotion Center at National Institute of Information and Communications Technology from 2008 to 2011. He is currently a director of Cybermedia Center. His current research work is focusing on a wide variety of multimedia applications, peer-to-peer communication networks, ubiquitous network systems,and IoT systems. He is a founding member of PRAGMA and CENTRA. He was awarded the Osaka Science Prize in 2005. He was awarded by Minister of Internal affair on 2017. He is a member of IEEE, and IEICE and IPSJ fellow.

With 9 years of expertise in design professional seamlessly integrates mastery in product design for construction, furniture, and sanitary industries with cutting-edge application design in telecommunications and home appliances. The innovative contributions through R&D, coupled with a dedicated role as a university professor.

Titu Minhas​

Titu Minhas has 25 plus years of experience in the Information Technology Industry helping customers in the field of Visual Computing, Design & Analysis, Multimedia, E-learning, Web Technologies, Digital Marketing and Digital Media Solutions. He has been helping customers in Southeast Asia with their Digital Transformation Journeys, Web Modernisation, Outreach & Engagement, and utilization of Data Driven Operating Model (DDOM) to achieve desired digital transformation through Adobe Enterprise Solutions like Adobe Experience Cloud and Adobe Creative Cloud.

In his current role (as Head of Education SEA) he is helping Education Institutes and Education Ministries with their digital and creative needs for Staff/Students and Institutes. Titu has been instrumental in executing many national level Enterprise Agreements with Education ministries in the region. Titu has presented at multiple conferences in the SEA on topics ranging from eLearning to digital transformation.
